Not every parent needs (or wants to pay for) a premium swing with app controls and five motion patterns. The Graco Simple Sway is one of the most popular budget picks, and it holds up well against pricier competitors for the basics.

What You Get

• 6 swing speeds for finding the right soothing rhythm
• Built-in nature sounds to help with settling
• Compact frame that takes up noticeably less floor space than bulkier swings
• Plush, removable seat pad that's machine washable

Who It's Best For

The Simple Sway is a strong choice for parents furnishing a nursery on a budget, or anyone tight on space — apartments, smaller bedrooms, or homes without a dedicated nursery. It covers the essentials without extra bulk or a steep price tag.

Things to Consider

It only swings in one direction (side-to-side), so if your baby needs varied motion to settle, a multi-motion swing like the MamaRoo may work better. It also lacks app or Bluetooth controls — everything is adjusted manually on the unit itself.

Bottom Line

For parents who want a reliable, no-frills swing that won't dominate the room or the budget, the Graco Simple Sway checks the essential boxes.
